Continued Unsettled Weather with Low Temperatures

In the upcoming days, we can expect uncertain weather, with typically low temperatures for the season according to the long-range weather forecast. Last Saturday kicked off with layers of thick cloud interrupted by periods of rain and light precipitation, accompanied by occasional patches of mist and fog, which gradually moved south-eastwards.

Sunshine and sporadic showers are forecasted to eventually break through the clouds. The maximum daytime temperatures will lie between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius, dipping slightly colder towards the northern and northwestern coastal areas. Gentle to medium strength winds from the north to northwest are predicted to pick up later in the day.

This evening, the north and west are expected to see the return of cloud cover with the odd shower, while elsewhere the weather will remain dry, bright, with the mercury dropping to between 6 and 11 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly breezes.

Sunday’s forecast predicts cloudy skies in the morning, with a likelihood of scattered showers in the north and east regions. However, the afternoon is expected to see some sunshine before clouds resurface in the west by evening, resulting in rain and drizzle, specifically over Connacht and western Ulster. Maximum temperatures falling between 16 and 20 degrees, specifically over northern regions are forecast, with a gentle to medium strength northwesterly wind.

Tomorrow evening, the weather in the westerly regions is expected to stay dry, with patches of rain and drizzle expanding to cover all regions by dawn. The temperature is not likely to go beneath 10 to 13 degrees in gentle westerly breezes.

The weather on Monday is predicted to be misty with periods of rain in the morning, which will gradually clear eastwards to intermittent sunshine and separate showers in the afternoon with most regions drying up by the evening. The highest temperatures will range between 14 degrees in the north and 19 degrees in the south with moderate winds blowing from the west to northwest. The majority of Monday night is predicted to be dry with clear spells and a few showers, mainly in the north and northwest with the mercury expected to fall between 8 to 12 degrees under light northwest or westerly winds.

Tuesday’s forecast reveals occasional sunshine and sporadic showers in the morning. The weather is set to become more cloudy in the afternoon with scattered light rain and drizzle. Maximum temperatures predicted to range from 14 to 18 degrees, with the southern regions being the warmest and driest under moderate westerly winds.

The forecast for Wednesday indicates a somewhat blustery day, coupled with cloud cover and morning rainfall, which should clear towards the east, giving way to sunshine and sporadic showers. The top temperatures are predicted to fluctuate between a cooler 15 degrees in the northwest and a warmer 20 to 21 degrees in the southeast, accompanied by moderate to brisk westerly breezes. The weather is set to remain unpredictable, facing additional periods of rain or intermittent showers.
