Dear Editor,
I chanced upon an elderly woman and her young grandson who were busy depositing plastic bottles at a recycling facility. It struck me as a beautiful multigenerational bonding activity. Rather than offering the child a small amount of money during visits, engaging them in recycling plastic bottles appears more meaningful. The earnings generated can then be utilized by the child to purchase something enjoyable.
