In a surprising turn of events, Chris Martin, the lone member of Coldplay who was in Dublin City Centre last Wednesday evening, delivered an impromptu performance while filming music video footage. Martin brought the city centre to life with a new track titled ‘We Pray’, featuring the talents of Burna Boy, Tini, Elyanna, and Little Simz on Grafton Street.
Even though the performance wasn’t officially announced, a number of keen fans managed to sniff out the event, staking out a spot at the Stephen’s Green end of Grafton Street by 6:30 pm. Subsequent to setting up the necessary camera equipment and crews well in advance, Martin made his appearance around 8:30 pm. By this time, a significant crowd had formed, making the street virtually unreachable.
Martin’s spontaneous show endured for roughly 20 minutes, and prominently featured the new single. Further details will be divulged in due time.
