An 85-year-old man has been apprehended over alleged homicide charges in connection to a woman’s death in her 80s at Co Down. The deceased woman was found in a house situated in the Hawthorne Court district of Bangor. As per the Police Service of Northern Ireland representative, a report regarding a female’s death in a home in the Hawthorne Court zone of the city was received soon after 5.30 pm on Sunday, June 2nd.
On their arrival, the law enforcement officials found the woman’s body in the property’s living area. Tragically, she was declared dead at the scene, and the inquiries are in an initial phase to establish the precise events that led to her death.
The accused was taken into police custody on doubt of murder right at the crime scene, according to the PSNI. They also clarified that, currently, no other suspects are being sought for questioning.
