“Clamper Firm Profits Rise 15% Post-Covid”

There was a surge in Apcoa Parking Ireland’s after-tax earnings by over 15%, nearly reaching €1.4 million in 2023, due largely to a spike in clamping and general company operations as commuter patterns returned to normal in urban centres post Covid-19 pandemic.

The firm, providing parking management services to a range of clients including universities, hospitals and municipal bodies, recorded an approximately 8% revenue increase last year, nearing €17.6 million up from the previous year’s €16.2 million, as evidenced in the latest account statements.

According to a report linked to the financial statements, the executives of the international company’s Irish division stated that business environment in 2023 was significantly better, with key segments of the business such as regulatory enforcement, acquisition of new contracts, and maintaining existing ones, all playing a part in this positive outcome.

The directors expressed that the 2023 performance indicators manifested the firm’s successful operation as the nation transitioned back to regular functioning.
