Chinese racing team Maxtra signs first new rider

22- year-old Austrian Michael Ranseder is the first rider to join the new Chinese Maxtra 125 Grand Prix project and will make his race debut in 2009 in Qatar.
Ranseder is very excited about this new project and is currently recovering from injuries sustained in a crash during free practise at the Australian GP.

Maxtra racing chief Simon Wei, speaking from the massive Haojue factory base in China, said: “We are very happy to confirm our first rider.
This is an important step for Maxtra.
The testing programme has been very encouraging, and now Michael will bring more speed and good GP experience to our fledgling team.
