“Champion Hurdle-Winner Honeysuckle’s First Foal Birth”

Double Champion Hurdle victor, Honeysuckle, has recently welcomed her first offspring, a filly sired by Walk In The Park. This was disclosed on social media by Honeysuckle’s owner’s racing manager, Peter Molony. He expressed his joy stating “We’ve got a girl! Honeysuckle birthed a bay filly by Walk In The Park of @coolmorestud @grangestud late last night at half past eleven! Both the mother and foal are rumoured to be in good health.”

Henry de Bromhead had trained Honeysuckle to achieve 17 victories out of 19 races, inclusive of winning the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2021 and 2022. Despite suffering the only losses in her racing career in the beginning of the 2022-23 season at both Hatton’s Grace and the Irish Champion Hurdle, she triumphed splendidly at last March’s Mares’ Hurdle.

Now at the age of 10, Blue Bresil, sire of Constitution Hill, has been selected for Honeysuckle’s upcoming covering.
