The verdict by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission prohibiting DAA’s acquisition of the Quickpark site near Dublin Airport was absolutely justified (Business, March 21st). To illustrate, in May 2019, I was charged €52.00 for a span of 10 days in the Red car park. However, in a glaring contrast, the fee for the same duration by 2024 is set at €102.00 – a significant surge in the cost indeed.
