The heat is intensifying in the US Presidential race, kicking off a new chapter. Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, has finally consented to a media interview. She will be featured on American television this evening, flanked by Vice President Tim Walz, with Dana Bash, CNN’s lead political reporter, conducting the interview.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a fresh indictment relating to election interference was filed by special prosecutor Jack Smith against former president Donald Trump, keeping the matter in the limelight. The unpredictable independent candidate, Robert Kennedy junior (RFK), decided to put his campaign on hold and swung his support – and prospective votes – towards Donald Trump, providing ample material for pollsters this week.
There are concerns over the decreasing number of Irish employees in EU bodies, which is seen as a grave issue. University heads disapprove of the ‘unfair’ grade inflation which has led to some exceptional students missing out on their preferred courses.
