Camier debuts special X-lite X-802R helmet in Donington

Leon Haslam (Pata Honda World Superbike) will not be the only Briton to show off a special helmet in donington Park this weekend.
Just yesterday we talked about the special Arai RX7-GP that the Honda rider is able to wear in Donington after receiving the ‘go-ahead’ from the medical staff (Haslam got injured in Assen a month ago and suffered a broken tibia and fibula that required surgery, and is currently hanging around with pair of crutches) but there’s another rider that wanted to pay homage to his home crowd: Leon CamierThe Fixi Crescent Suzuki rider celbrates its first home GP of the season (the second will be Silverstone at the end of the summer) with some special graphics for its X-lite X-802R signed by Italian ‘guru’ Aldo Drudi – a very well-known name in the business and the man behind Valentino Rossi’s colourful helmets since the early days – featuring a metal-like base color with the classic ‘lions’ in fluorescent orange.

At the top, Camier’s race nember ‘2′ is repeated three times (inadvertently giving the impression of a tribute to Italian Motocross legend Toni Cairoli, surely unintentional), but with the one at the center turnide upside down.

Like Haslam, Camier has arrived in Donington after a rather serious accident: he reported a bad knee injury in Aragon which required surgery, so we can only hope that these new helmets will bring both Leons good luck in front of the always warm British audience.
