Cal Crutchlow will decide later this afternoon whether to continue this MotoGP weekend at his home race at Silverstone, following his heavy crash during this morning’s final free practice.
The Yamaha rider was one the several that were caught out by the extremely tricky track conditions and he crashed heavily at the left hander at the Chapel.

It was suspected that he had sustained a fractured ankle and collarbone, howeverinitial X-rays at the Medical Center ruled out that the Brit had any broken bones, but confirmed that he did sprain his left ankle and will now undergo a further assessment before making a final decision.
Crutchlow had already taken a beating when he crashed out during the post-race test at Catalunya.
The Brit also missed last year’s British GP after fracturing his collarbone during qualifying.
UPDATE:It has been confirmed that Cal Crutchlow will miss this afternoon’s qualifying session as he will undergo further tests at the hospital as he is complaining of discomfort and his ankle has increased swelling.
