Buddh Circuit to be modified for World Superbike round

The second round of the 2013 World Superbike Championship will be heading for the first time to the Buddh International Circuit in India and to order to host the event the Indian circuit will be modifying the current track layout to make it safer for motorcycle racing.
The track length will be shortened to 5.

125mt that Formula 1 uses) and they will eliminate three turns bringing it down to 13 from the current 16, and the protection barries between turn 1 and 4 will be moved back to allow for a greater run-off area.
The raised kerbs at turn 9 and 16 (which will become turn 13) will also be modified.
The FIM will inspect the circuit changes for homologation during the third week of January.
The World Superbike teams will hold a pre-race test to learn the circuit on March 6th ahead of the race weekend.
