Brian O’Driscoll Firm’s Profits Hit €10m

Former Irish rugby player, Brian O’Driscoll’s primary company witnessed a significant increase in its accumulated profits last year, reaching €10.47 million. ODM & Promotions Ltd, owned by O’Driscoll, reported after-tax profits of €810,463 in the 12 months leading up to the end of August, translating to weekly profits of around €15,585.

This figure is a 26% increase from the €641,383 after-tax profits registered in the same period in 2022. The firm’s liquid assets also grew last year, elevating from €1.85 million to €2.14 million, an increment of €282,549. This financial progression was made despite the corporation having to deal with the added expenditure of €212,707, paid out to board of directors in a year where no such expense was accounted for previously.

The company’s fiscal year was marked by significant growth, with its financial assets experiencing a boost of €224,749, raising the total from €5.693 million to €5.917 million. However, the book value of the firm’s investment properties witnessed a reduction from €1.8 million to €1.04 million due to disposals valued at €763,057. According to notes included in the account, the said properties are intended for rental purposes.

ODM & Promotions Ltd has shown stable profit growth over the years with profits of €874,120 in 2021, €899,710 in 2020, €694,791 in 2019, and €596,006 in 2018. The retired rugby player’s financial success continues to thrive beyond his athletic career. O’Driscoll’s website reveals that he currently operates in various roles in the business and sports market, appearing as a rugby commentator on Newstalk and participating in ITV’s coverage of the Rugby World Cup last autumn.

The firm increased its staff remuneration last year, jumping from €124,470 to €348,754. This is constituted of €335,251 in wages and salaries and €13,503 in social insurance costs.

The company holds financial assets that consist of group undertaking shares worth €3.94 million, alongside participating interests valued at €679,906. An additional €224,749 in ‘other investments’ was taken into account, minus a depreciation of €91,486, bringing the total to a €1.25 million sum. Huberman’s business, ASM Entertainment Ltd, reported a 18.5 per cent surge in post-tax profits, to €233,628 for the year ending August of last year. This showed an increase from the €197,097 profit posted in 2022.

Well-liked by the Irish populace, as evidenced by a combined following of over 934,000 on Mr Huberman’s Twitter and Instagram accounts, her company’s accumulated profits last year rose from €1.058 million to €1.291 million. The firm’s cash funds also saw a bump, surging by €245 thousand from €826,766 to €1.07 million.
