Brian Flanagan: New Kildare Football Manager

Brian Flanagan has been designated as Kildare’s latest senior football manager, assuming the role for a four-year span. He is not a stranger to Kildare’s successes, previously having a triumphant spell as the under-20 management where he led the team to All-Ireland victory in 2023. His successful stint also includes multiple Leinster titles won consecutively. Expected to take over the reins from Glenn Ryan, Flanagan’s appointment has been substantiated by Kildare officials, with his tenure to be formally approved during the county board meeting in September. His support staff will include Aidan O’Rourke, Damien Hendy, and Daryl Flynn. On the other hand, it has been confirmed from Kilkenny that Derek Lyng will be maintaining his position as the county’s senior hurling manager for the 2025 season. Kildare GAA expressed their best wishes to Flanagan and his team in a recent statement.
