“Bradley Leads BMW Championship, McIlroy Lags”

In the third round of the BMW Championship on the PGA Tour, Keegan Bradley from America gained the leading position, besting Australia’s Adam Scott by one shot. Despite a day rife with highs and lows that saw Bradley splitting equal numbers of birdies and bogeys, eight and six respectively, he managed to achieve a score of 70, two-under par, closing the day on 12 under at Castle Pines Golf Club.

Whilst Scott struggled with a score of 74 in the third round, he managed to keep close to Bradley’s lead with two late birdies. Additionally, Rory McIlroy boasted a promising round with a score of 70, claiming a spot in the top 10 at five under, despite falling seven shots behind Bradley.

Following closely, Shane Lowry scored a round of 70 and concluded the day one shot under at four under. Bradley leads in the BMW Championship with McIlroy seven shots behind.

After his performance in the third round, Scott admitted feeling like he had somewhat bungled his performance despite not having done anything egregiously wrong. He pointed to a few slightly off drives and a three-putt as potentially detrimental but concluded that ultimately being one behind was quite a favourable position to be in.

Ludvig Aberg and Alex Noren, both from Sweden, are in a tie for third position on 10 under, having scored 71 and 70 in their games respectively. American player, Xander Schauffele trails by three shots on seven under.
