Born on December 18th 1963 William Bradley Pitt is an actor who has starred in films such as Oceans 11, Oceans 12 and Oceans 13, Interview With A Vampire, to name but a few of his successes.

Starting off like many actors struggling to establish himself in Los Angeles, he took on any work he could get to pay for acting lessons. He worked as a chauffeur and also dressed up as a chicken.

His first part came in 1987 in No Way Out, No Mans Land. He wasn’t credited for this part but it was just the beginning. He then went on to star in many television shows, including the sitcom, Growing Pains. He even appeared in episodes of Dallas.

In 1994 Pitt starred alongside Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst in Interview With A Vampire, It was at this point in his career that he finally achieved success, it won him two MTV Movie Awards.

In 1995, he starred alongside Morgan Freeman and Gwyneth Paltrow in the thriller Se7en. He played a detective on the trail of a serial killer played by Kevin Spacey. His performance was critically well-received, Variety Magazine said it was his best screen acting. Many well respected critics remarked upon Pitt‘s ability to turn in a "determined, energetic, creditable job" as the detective.

Since then he has been part of the hit Ocean trilogy and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button, which he received an Academy Award Nomination for Best Actor In A Leading Role.

He was most recently heard but not seen in Megamind as the voice of Metro Man and keep an eye out for him in both The Tree of Life and Moneyball both of which are due to be released in 2011.

His private life is almost as famous as he is. He was once married to Jennifer Anniston (2000 to 2005) but they publically split after he met Angelina Jolie on the set of the film Mr & Mrs Smith.

They are still together and have 2 adopted sons and 2 adopted daughters. Jolie also gave birth to twins in July 2008.
