Boeing’s CEO, Dave Calhoun, will be leaving his position by the end of the current year as part of a major restructure within the beleaguered US aircraft producer. It was declared on Monday that Larry Kellner, the company’s chairman, won’t be seeking re-election on the company’s board. His successor will be Steve Mollenkopf, the previous chief executive of Qualcomm.
In a crucial part of the firm’s reshaping, Stan Deal, who is at the helm of the commercial aeroplane section, will step down. The division, amid a recent crisis, has been the focal point of the upheaval. Stephanie Pope, the current chief operating officer of the company, will take over his role as of Monday.
