Bayern Eases Kane Injury Concerns

Bayern Munich released a positive update regarding Harry Kane’s ankle injury, suggesting it might not be as severe as initially suspected. The striker, who clinched last season’s Golden Boot, incurred the injury near the conclusion of Saturday’s draw with Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena, exiting the game during the 86th minute.

Bayern’s medical team assessed Kane on Sunday after he sustained a jarring blow to his ankle during their home game against Bayer Leverkusen. The prognosis shows a promising turn according to a statement by the club, with further treatment planned for Kane.

Following the match, team manager Vincent Kompany expressed optimism, hoping for the recovery of the English national team captain in time for their Champions League match versus Aston Villa on Wednesday.

During the encounter with the reigning champions Leverkusen, Kane was unable to make a mark as he failed to increase his tally of five league goals so far this season. The match saw the visitors taking the lead via Robert Andrich, before Aleksandar Pavlovic levelled for the hosts, Bayern.
