A cargo ship strike has resulted in the collapse of a bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, a major city in the United States. Ongoing rescue efforts are in place to save approximately seven individuals due to the fall of the Key Bridge, a structure of 3km or 1.6 miles, into the Patapsco River, as per news sources.
The Maryland Transportation Authority stated in an announcement on platform X, “All routes on the I-695 Key Bridge are shut in both directions due to the incident. Diverted traffic is in operation.”
