Bad weather hampers Jerez testing

Rain hampered yesterday’s first day of testing at Jerez.
The Spanish track is hosting several Moto2 teams, World Superbike BMW’s Troy Corser and Leon Haslam, Ducati MotoGP test team and rookie Karel Abraham’s Cardion AB Racing and Suter’s highly hyped Moto1.
Suter’s-BMW Moto1 (which is giving the Flamini brothers acid reflux and the FIM a headache) got it’s first taste of the wet track with CEV Champion Carmelo Morales, who is also Suter Racing’s official tester, and Damian Cudlin, IDM Supersport Champion and endurance racer, while Scott Redding, who was supposed to test the new bike for his Marc VDS Racing Team, will probably get his chance today or tomorrow if the weather let’s up.

Even Mika Kallio might get a chance, in order to give his feedback as a former MotoGP rider.
Moto2 teams included Mapfre Aspar Team with Julian Simon and newcomer Xavier Fores, Tuenti Speed Up running Pol Espargaro and Valentine Debise, who is still looking for a ride for next season after being dumped by WTR San Marino Team.

Instead WTR Speed Master’s Andrea Iannone posted the best unofficial time getting in 35 laps on the Suter, despite the weather conditions.
