At the Threshold

Dear editor,

While engaging with my professional duties from the comfort of my home this Wednesday, I chanced upon a visit from a serving Cabinet Minister. They inquired about my preferred choice or, in its absence, a potential transfer. Despite the system’s imperfections, one can’t help but appreciate the unique personal and democratic nature of our electoral process, where high-ranking officials must solicit votes directly from us, right at our doorstep. It’s a tradition I sincerely hope will endure.

Best regards,
John Naughton,

Dublin 18.
