“Armagh GAA Warns About Fake Cup”

The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) in Armagh has raised an alert about a ‘fake Sam Maguire trophy’ being transported to various places, including pubs, schools, and events, with claims for significant sums of money. The GAA in Armagh posted a statement on social media on Tuesday, informing that they have noticed this counterfeit trophy’s circulation. They underline that they have established clear guidelines for requesting the trophy’s appearance/use and assure that they will never impose a charge for this.

On July 28th, Armagh won the Sam Maguire Cup in the All-Ireland Senior Football Final against Galway with a score of 1-11 to 0-13. This marks the second time the county has taken the All-Ireland Senior Football title, 22 years after their very first triumph in 2002. The Sam Maguire Cup is a treasured symbol in Irish Gaelic football, and this issue of a counterfeit trophy has taken the organisation and fans by surprise.
