Aprilia RS 125, Bike of the year 2008

For the second year in a row the Aprilia RS 125 has been voted as Bike of the Year according to the Italian magazine, In Moto.
The RS 125 was preferred by 94,000 readers to the Cagiva Mito and the Yamaha YZF-R 125.
It’s the latest recognition in a career with no comparison: reinforcing technical and stylistic leadership that Aprilia has held on to for more than 20 years in this category, and which is directly linked to the extraordinary performance of the Noale brand in speed.

After the poker in the 125 and 250 world championships of 2006 and 2007 (winning both riders and manufacturers titles), it came into the 2008 season with victories in both the 125 and 250 in the first Grand Prix of the year in Qatar.
The RS 125’s strong point is being a replica like no other.
From the AF1 to the current RS, the evolution of the species passed through the excellent Futura and Estrema, maitaining the DNA which brought it to be the Aprilia 125 of Grand Prix domination.
