A racing win with a brand new bike in its debut season is a good reason to party and Aprilia celebrated Max Biaggi’s win and second place at Brno with the RSV4 with a get together at the factory’s headquarters at Noale, Italy on Monday.
The entire Aprilia Racing Division showed up to show their appreciation and pay homage to the Italian rider who brought them their first WSBK victory this year and three titles in the 250cc Championship.
Max Biaggi:“I am so delighted to be able to celebrate this first emotional victory with all of you company staff.
I am really proud to represent you at the races and bring to fruition on the track all of your work.
During the last lap at Brno I went over with my mind all my wins on Aprilias from 1992 onwards, I think I am the rider who more than anyone else has won with the colours of this company.
I can also remember the excitement and the enthusiasm of all of my team on the pit wall! I really hope this result will be a good omen for a 2010 season at the very top, and not only on the tracks “.
Aprilia has won 40 world titles, 33 in the Gran Prix series, returned this year to compete in the World Superbike Championship after being in the series from 1999 to 2002 with the RSV1000 and won 8 times, seven times with Troy Corser and once with Regis Laconi in 2001.
