“Appeal for Murderer Missing in North”

David McCord, a 54-year-old convicted murderer, seemingly vanished from his custodial location in Northern Ireland. The PSNI is actively seeking his whereabouts as McCord is currently considered to be “illegally free”.

Having been sentenced to life imprisonment, McCord was last accounted for at a property on Crumlin Road in the northern part of Belfast, held under the watchful eye of prison officials on Friday, August 16th. He was last spotted on Castlereagh Road roughly at 4.30pm. His attire for the day included a green jacket and dark-coloured jogging bottoms, and he had a red shopping bag with him.

The police have issued an appeal to the public for any information about McCord. They’ve cautioned individuals who might come across him or have knowledge of his location not to approach him, but rather inform them via their non-emergency 101 line stating reference number 607. The PSNI has also given an alternative option, urging anyone with information to reach out to the independent charity Crimestoppers on the number, 0800 555 111, ensuring their anonymity.

Furthermore, the PSNI have taken a step further by directly appealing to McCord himself, urging him to turn himself into custody.
