This division stands out as the only Irish aviation insurance brokerage with distinctive leadership. It is equipped to assist firms in the sector to handle all their insurance and risk management requirements from Ireland. The newly formed team signifies Aon’s first venture in Ireland, increasing the company’s global reach within the sector. Aon Ireland is set to provide analytics, advisory services, and risk-management solutions to aviation industry leaders.
Aon Ireland has presented its objectives to expand its operations significantly within the aviation realm in the next three years. The aviation leasing and finance sector plays a vital role in the Irish economy, amounting to an estimated worth of $4.6 billion (€4.3 billion) per annum. Approximately 60% of global aircraft leasing firms operate from Ireland, an industry that supports roughly 42,000 jobs domestically.
The new unit will be guided by Jimmy Klebovitch and Graham Caffrey. With a track record of over a decade in the aviation insurance sector, Klebovitch has held the role of a senior insurance manager at AerCap, a top-notch aircraft lessor, followed by an assignment in an aviation insurance broker, maintaining their leasing portfolio. Meanwhile, Caffrey comes with more than 15 years’ expertise in the insurance industry, holding diverse roles to provide risk solutions and consultation services across various sectors, with a specific focus on aviation in the recent six years.
Aon caters to over 50% of aviation companies globally and manages roughly 30% of all aviation reinsurance business worldwide. Rachael Ingle, Chief Executive of Aon Ireland, comments on the landmark launch of their new aviation division, geared to cater to this vital sector. Ingle adds that Ireland is globally recognised as the epicentre for aircraft leasing with assets in excess of $100 billion managed from Ireland. Given the growing unpredictability in the aviation sector related to climate change and talent shortages, Ingle underlines the need for expert advice to support industry leaders in making well-informed decisions.
Klebovitch expressed his enthusiasm about his newly assigned aviation lead role at Aon Ireland and the inception of their new Irish division.
Our recent establishment of a bespoke aviation division allows Aon to emerge as Ireland’s exclusive comprehensive risk management supplier, and the lone aviation-focused broker boasting a committed team based in this location.
“With our ground-breaking risk-management and insurance approaches, entities within the aviation industry can administer the expense of hazard directly from Ireland.”
