Anthropic has initiated the introduction of its Claude assistant throughout Europe

Anthropic, an AI company, is expanding the reach of its Claude assistant to customers across Europe, offering access to web, mobile and business users. This follows an earlier announcement by the start-up about the regional availability of its Claude API, which empowers users to integrate Claude into their own applications and websites. The web-based service Claude.ai, the iOS app, and the Claude Team service will now be accessible to users in Europe.

Claude supports several languages, making it fluent in key European languages such as French, Spanish, Italian, German, amongst others. Even though Claude.ai and the Claude iOS app can be downloaded at no cost, users have the option to subscribe to Claude Pro for additional services, which includes the upgraded Claude 3 Opus model. The corporate-oriented Team package is priced at €28 (excluding VAT) monthly per user, with a requirement for a minimum of five users as set by the company.

“We’ve developed Claude with a strict adherence to accuracy, security, and privacy. Claude empowers the users, letting them effortlessly generate, develop and enhance their ideas in their professional lives and daily routines,” comments Dario Amodei, the chief executive. “Claude is already supporting millions of people globally in speeding up scientific procedures, improving customer service or polishing their writing – I’m eager to observe the products and services that individuals and businesses across Europe will create with Claude.”

In March, Anthropic declared its intentions to establish its first European Union office in Dublin, embodying part of the San Francisco-based company’s strategic European expansion. Although there is already a small office in London which was inaugurated last year, the proposed Dublin location will house staff in legal, sales and people operations, with the potential to extend hiring into other departments.
