Annertech-bigO Grand Prix Victory at Spiders

The Mansion House in Dublin lit up brilliantly for the 27th Spider Awards, paying homage to Ireland’s digital elite. Among the laureates, Annertech-bigO bagged the highly esteemed Grand Prix Award for their extraordinary teamwork on the new website of the National Library of Ireland.

Stella Power, the directorate head of Annertech, relayed her delight at the win, labeling it as ‘astounding’. She emphasized the weightage of the Spider Awards as the apogee of digital eminence, often paralleled with prestigious awards such as the Oscars. The triumph, along with their other award for Top Universal Design, consolidates their standing as pioneers in the realm of digital inventiveness.

Nevertheless, Annertech-bigO wasn’t the sole victor of the event. Granite, celebrated for its versatile skills in the realm of digital marketing, bagged the prominent Large Agency of the Year award. Their trendsetter campaigns and creative web-based e-commerce strategies led to additional acknowledgement through the Best in E-Commerce award for their custom-made solution for Element Whiskey.

Success shone on Sligo-based StoryLab as they snapped up the coveted Small Agency of the Year prize, displaying the various talents existing within Ireland’s digital scenery. Other notable winners included Core Optimisation, MXB Agency, Brown Thomas Arnotts, and the Central Bank of Ireland, each signifying excellence in their distinct areas.

The Spider Awards also underscored the strength of joint ventures and alliances. One4all emerged as the main partner, with esteemed collaborators like Deloitte Digital, Magnet+ and Skillnet Ireland, Centre for Excellence in Design NDA, Onclusive, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Aspire PR, and Olytico all showcasing their shared devotion to digital supremacy. The coordinators of the Spider Awards also teamed up with Unicef to aid their relief work in Gaza.

Lou Hickey, One4all’s marketing director for EMEA, expressed her pleasure about teaming up with The Spiders, particularly on its 27th anniversary. She commented on the awards being a platform for celebration and acknowledgement of remarkable talents across the room.

A remarkable collaboration between Core Optimisation and Failte Ireland earned them the Best Collaboration award. Additionally, for their work with Spar & Eurospar NI, Real Time Digital and Henderson Group were recognised with the Best Consumer Campaign prize.
