Anarchists attack the villa of a Russian oligarch in London. Specifically, it was the luxury home of Oleg Deripaska, violated by the group called “London Makhnovisti“.
The London anarchist collective has been operating for years with actions of social disturbance, last night they broke into the villa of the oligarch Deripaska located in Belgrave Square, West London.
The house is worth at least 65 million euro, the group broke in by forcing the locks and then hung Ukrainian flags and anti-war posters in the windows. “This property has been liberated” and “Putin go f*****e” are some of the slogans on the banners.”
When the police arrived, the anarchists shouted that the villa would be used to receive war refugees from Ukraine and that they would occupy it until Putin finished ravaging the country.
“There has been no break-in, we are using our human rights for protest,” one of the anarchists told the Daily Mail, “We are here to protest against the ownership of a Russian oligarch and warmonger.”
After seven hours of talks and clashes between the Police and the group, they were taken away from the mansion of the Russian oligarch. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, said that the methods used by the police were perhaps exaggerated, such as breaking down the front door of the house and showing up in riot gear.
