German medics have examined a 62-year-old male who claims to have received 217 Covid-19 vaccinations, reporting no adverse effects. The man’s case was highlighted in the eastern region of Magdeburg, piquing the interest of researchers from a Bavarian university. Evidence provided in paperwork accounted for 134 vaccinations given over a 9-month period using eight different vaccines, but the man himself insists that the actual number over a 29-month span was 217.
The investigation results, reported in The Lancet, indicated that the subject remained in vigorous health despite the excessive vaccinations. The authors noted that this could show the high safety profile and minor side-effect risk of the vaccines. They restrained, however, from generalizing this incident, making it clear that it doesn’t constitute grounds for widespread public recommendations and that they don’t support overt vaccination as a method to boost adaptive immunity.
Many vaccines being administered by the man were obtained by visiting a variety of vaccination centres across his area, each time gathering distinct proof of vaccination. It was estimated that the man’s vaccination cost the taxpayer roughly €4,300, in comparison to the usual cost of around €60. While a preliminary case was initiated because of this expenditure, it was eventually dropped due to the man’s limited mental capacity, deeming him unfit for trial.
This man did not seek many vaccines for any particular rationale, and he exhibited no negative side effects, disclosed researchers from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. Aside from an extremely high antibody level in his blood, he seemed healthy. The usual recommendation is that three Covid-19 shots should be enough for healthy adults up to the age of 60, with additional boosters provided to older individuals and those in high-risk groups.
