In an exciting draw for the All-Ireland senior football championship quarter-finals, Dublin is set to clash with Galway. This highly anticipated match, involving the winners of the Leinster and Connacht championships, promises that at least one of this year’s regional champions will exit the competition prior to reaching the semi-finals.
Derry, after their recent victory over Mayo, will now square off against Kerry, the Munster champions, adding another exciting bit to Mickey Harte’s lengthy history with the Kingdom.
Armagh has been drawn to compete against Roscommon, and Ulster winners Donegal will be playing against Louth in their first-ever All-Ireland quarter-final appearance.
The draws were carried out by GAA president Jarlath Burns and director of player, club and games administration, Feargal McGill, during an episode of RTÉ Radio One’s Morning Ireland programme. Schedule for the four matches, which are set to take place over the next weekend, with information about the double-headers at Croke Park on Saturday and Sunday to be revealed by later in the day.
