Alessio Delfino’s Metamorphoseis on exhibition at Rivara Castle

The gold-painted goddesses you see in the picture above are the famous muses of the myth, this time revisited and modernised by Alessio Delfino.
They will be on display at the castle of Rivara from 26th June to 27th July.
This photo exhibition called Metamorphoseis and which includes other amazing works, aims to celebrate not only women’s beauty but also their female identity.

Apparently the bodies photographed by Delfino seem all alike, but actually if you look at them more carefully you will see how the technique used by the artist tends to underpin the physical and psychological differences.
The work seems to want to say that there are not everlasting models of beauty in the universe; on the contrary, each body becomes or rather is a world apart with unique characteristics and features.
On the first day the public will also have the opportunity to see these goddesses in action.
They will perform a ritual of initiation dedicated to Mother Earth and other ancient female divinities.
