Agent Cobalt – stirred, never shaken

To whom it may concern,

Miriam Lord’s recent piece, “Agent Cobalt as Banquo’s ghost in self-entertaining parliament” (Parliamentary Diary, October 19), delivered amusement as always in an outstanding manner.

Should the Russians imagined they had on board a new Burgess, Maclean, or Philby, they would now be experiencing a deep sense of regret. Agent Cobalt, it seems, may pose a heightened risk to the Russians than to the security of Ireland.

It would be wise for the so-called Agent Cobalt to steer away from windows and be cautious of eastern guests with offerings.

To whom it may concern,

I estimate that it’s only a matter of time before members of both parliamentary houses deny that they are Spartacus in a wave of statements.
