An individual has been apprehended in relation to the demise of the famous actor Matthew Perry, according to police authorities. It was NBC News who first reported that an arrest took place in the south of California last Thursday. Prior to this, in June, the Los Angeles police department had shared they were looking into the method used by the Friends star to acquire prescription drugs.
Perry, who had never hidden his struggle with substance abuse, was discovered deceased in his hot tub in his LA residence in October 2023. A postmortem examination revealed ketamine concentration in his bloodstream akin to the amount utilised in standard anaesthesia.
From Perry’s postmortem blood samples, the high levels of Ketamine detected could have caused lethal effects such as extreme stimulation of the cardiovascular system and respiratory depression, the autopsy report suggested.
In spite of the shocking nature of his death, it was determined that Perry’s passing was accidental and no clues suggested any criminal activity.
