A man in his twenties, who was on a motorbike, lost his life due to injuries he endured following a mishap in Carnew, Co Wicklow, on a recent Saturday evening. Gardaí were present on the site of this single-vehicle accident that took place in Tombreane in Carnew around 6.30pm involving a motorbike.
The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was transported to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, where he was later declared dead. A detailed investigation of the incident site has been carried out by experts in collision forensics, and post this, the road was opened again.
Gardaí are urging anyone who observed the incident to step forward. They also request that anyone in the Tombreane vicinity between 6.15pm and 6.45pm on the past evening, who may possess camera footage, including dashcam, to make it accessible for Gardaí.
