A workplace accident in Co Roscommon claimed the life of a man in his 50s on Thursday evening. Emergency services and the local police force, the Gardaí, were called to the scene at a facility in Frenchpark just past 7pm. The individual, known locally as Pat McCrann, tragically lost his life at the scene. Following the event, his body was transported to Roscommon’s mortuary for a postmortem examination. The Gardaí have notified the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) about the incident, as required, and will compile a report for the coroner’s court. In return, the HSA has confirmed they have been informed about the unfortunate incident and have initiated an investigation.
