A male, approximately in his 40s, was discovered deceased in Co Wexford

An investigation is being led by the Gardaí following the unearthing of a body in Gorey, Wexford, which occurred on a Sunday afternoon. A statement from the Garda Press Office revealed the discovered body belonged to a male in his forties, located at a dwelling in the Clonattin region, slightly before noon.

The State Pathologist’s Office has been informed and a post-mortem examination is planned for, with the findings set to steer the direction of the Garda inquiry. The Office stated that at the present moment, the site is kept intact for a technical inspection and there is no additional detail ready for release. It is yet to be determined if the case involves a criminal act.
