A lady lost her life following a vehicular accident in Waterford

A motor accident involving a car and a lorry in Co Waterford resulted in the death of a female on Tuesday. The unfortunate event took place at approximately 9.20 am at Garranbane, in the N25 area of Dungarvan. The lady, a passenger in the car, was confirmed deceased at the site by the emergency services, while the lorry driver received treatment due to shock.

Authorities have set up local detours and the Garranbane route into and out of Dungarvan will continue to be inaccessible for several hours while experts are examining the crash scene. Added to the national toll, this latest road fatality brings the sum of lives lost this year to 100. In comparison with the same period last year, there are 13 more fatalities.
