250cc leader Marco Simoncelli loses licence

If you were looking for amusing stories about Italian drivers, or riders, look no further.
The leader of the 250cc ranking, Marco Simoncelli, has lost his licence to ride any motorcycles on the road after only two days of enjoying it.
It seems a relatively simple way to have lost it – overtaking someone on double unbroken lines, while also coming towards an intersection.

Rather less Italian though, is the style in which he has accepted the loss of licence.
Apparently no tantrums occurred, and a simple phone call was made so that someone could come and pick him up.
Simoncelli now returns to the Pesaro riding school which has on its list of ex-students, Valentino Rossi.
