The MotoGP rider crashed during the fourth free practice, sustaining a dislocated right shoulder, but this time it wasn’t due to a cold tire or the infamous turn 11, as he crashed out at turn 1, but an error made by the Pramac rider.
Iannone speaking to Sportmediaset said he was distracted because he trying regulate his brake with one hand, and with the other change maps, but erroneously hit the speed limiter (which limits speed in the pitlane) as he was heading towards his braking mark at high speed.
With ‘pit’ inserted, the mapping blocked the rear wheel and he crashed.

Costa immediately reset Iannone’s dislocated shoulder, and during the interview Iannone said he feeling much better and was no longer in great pain, and x-rays ruled out any fractures, and he’ll see how he is feeling tomorrow before deciding whether to partecipate in the race.

It might be the first weekend when every change we made has led to a small step forward that I could immediately notice.
The bike has consistently responded pretty well, so I was happy.
I started FP4 while I was trying a little change.
I was having a good lap, even though I wasn’t really pushing too hard, and although the tyre already had 14 laps on it, I was close to my best time.
Then I fell, and I’m really disappointed; I thought I could do a good race tomorrow because we’ve focused a lot on the pace, also during the test at Misano.
