2011 EICMA: Scarabeo 125/200 ie

Scarabeo presented at the 2011 EICMA the revamped version of its 125/200 ie which will take on the market in 2012.
The range shows new aesthetics (air intake, indicators, tail light) and features that will place it at the top of its category.
The 200 cc engine produces 19 hp (14 kW) at 9,000 rpm with 17,1 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm whereas the 125 cc unit develops 14 hp (10,5 kW) at 9,750 rpm with 11 Nm of maximum torque at 7,750 rpm.

Both version uses tubular steel single cradle frame, electronic fuel injection and CVT with torque server, and will come with two different mappings that can be selected by the rider through a command on the handlebar: the ECO mode reduces the fuel consumption by up to 7% while the SPORT mode provides the best possible performance.
.
Other highlights include 35 mm hydraulic telescopic fork (100 mm wheel travel) and double hydraulic shock absorbers with adjustable preload (4 settings, 90 mm wheel travel 90), an integral braking system using 260 mm steel disc with 3-piston floating caliper on the front and 220 mm steel disc with dual piston fixed caliper, and 16″ 5 spoke wheels at both ends.
